Hips were a swaying
The women were a swooning
We were all cooing!

Elvis is the King
Like a puppet on a string
He wore lots of bling!

Graceland was his home
Memphis was the stars city
His aura was bliss.

OMG... OMG...What can I say?!! You got me Sunshine. I'm speechless! (circle this day on your calendar)I'm truely...'All shook up'. My day is complete now...from finding that my birthday song in the year I was born was "Teddy Bear" it's like is was meant to be. Both he and you are "Always on my mind" and of course "He knows just what I need" He "Touched me". I know he can be a "Hound Dog" at times...but he knows how to "Love me Tender" Hope you and I never have to "Go our Separate ways". FAB U LOUS!!! Amazingly good Haikiu, Sunshine. Ahhhh, The KING, yes he was...is and always will be. I have seen several Elvis Wanna-be's and although they entertain a bit, when they're done, I think to myself: "Okay, thanks alot buddy, nice try. Now take the cape off and get over yourself. There IS only ONE Elvis!! lol
I know that Elvis has left the building, but thank you, Sunshine, for bringing him back today. He was one of a kind who left us much too soon.

Nice tribute to the King...I have never been a huge Presley fan...but I understand his power...one of the first times I dealt with death was when he passed....I was not upset...but two of my closest friend's moms were very upset the day they heard the King passed....it made me really think about life and death. Voted up and interesting.

ANOTHER GREAT HUB, THIS BRINGS ME BACK TO 2010 WHEN HUBBY AND I WERE FORTUNATE TO VISIT MEMPHIS, SO WE STAYED AT THE HEARTBREAK HOTEL, WENT TO TOUR SUN MUSIC STUDIO WHERE IT ALL BEGAN AND THEN THE GREAT TOUR OF GRACELAND.. WE WERE IN SUCH AWE WITH WHAT WE HAD LEARNED AND WE THOUGHT WE KNEW HIM WELL, ... SO WE FOUND WHILE TOURING IT ALL MANY FACTS THAT WE DIDNT KNOW WE SAW HIS 2 PLAINS HIS AUTOS HIS MUSEUM ETC... SO SINCE HUBBY WAS PROBABLY ONE OF HIS BIGGEST FANS I HAD EVER MET IM SO HAPPY I GOT TO REALISH THIS WONDER LAND WITH HIM.. ON LIVES THE KING.. AND THANKS

A great tribute to the Man. I saw him once as he was entering a concert (I was on the outside) and was hopelessly hooked. BTW I was 13 at the time. Saw "Love Me Tender" five times in one day at the movies; just stayed and re-watched. Great haiku bringing back great memories.
