My Fan Letter To Shaun White - The Flying Tomato

Hi Shaun Roger White, I've been meaning to write my fan letter to you for quite some time. I've been wanting to thank you for hanging out with me on that memorable Friday in August of 2011. I went into Big 10 Tires to get an oil change and there you were standing in the Customer Service waiting area. I was estatic! "Shaun White is here," I said to my husband! He was also excited that I would have someone else to chat with besides him. Dave thinks I talk too much. Huh? Shaun, you were your usual charismatic self, but for some reason you just allowed me to do all the talking. You smiled and stood there, listening, which was fine with me! Thank you for posing for a photo with me! I hope to see you standing around again one day soon.

I understand how you grew tired of the nickname "The Flying Tomato," but I hope you don't mind if I mention it one more time. I think it's a fab nickname and seriously, who else would ever have the opportunity to be blessed with that nickname? You literally FLY regardless of whether you are snowboarding or skateboarding! You are the king of 1080's!! You have a talent many other athletes wish they had! You literally leave fans and spectators speechless with your artistic twists and turns!! Tony Hawk first discovered you at age nine and he saw how magnificent you were at such a young age. Hard work and dedication turned you into a PRO at age 17. Way to go Shaun. By the way, Shaun is my favorite male name. I actually prefer the spelling Sean, but it's all good no need to alter your spelling now!

You have come a long way even with a rocky start. Due to a heart defect you required two open heart surgeries by the age of one. All was a success. Yay! My niece also needed open heart surgery when she was a baby, luckily she's also doing well and is a beautiful young woman now. By the way my good friend Jeff Randolph says hello! You have a gift of attracting friends very easily, like a bee to honey. You have a sparkling personality and are just so damn adorable!!! It might be the Irish American blood flowing through your veins that makes you lovable. I never encountered an Irish American I didn't like!

What an inspiration you are to fellow skaterboarders and snowboarders! You are the first athlete to compete and to win both the summer and winter Olympics in both sports! You are a two time Olympic gold medalist to boot! Keep on boarding, cause you got it going on! I could watch your videos for hours in awe and amazement! In 2008 your endorsements reached a total of nearly $9million! That's outstanding!!

I really enjoyed watching your cameo appearances in the movie, Friends With Benefits! You were a funny dude! Had me laughing! I also have to tell you that I am envious of your hair! Your red, curly locks are da bomb! I smile when I see your commerical for St. Jude and the children surrounding you also wanting your hair. Bless their hearts. They are fighters and I hope they win.

You have quite a following with your Facebook group! Your fans adore you! How could they not! You are witty, charming, compassionate and you show you appreciate them. I can't let you go without mentioning your trademark chewing gum! Dude, it's the best gum ever! The flavor just keeps on going! I bet you had a say in the ingredients because the gum is just as sweet as you! Awww, sorry if I made you blush! I hope you always have the attitude towards life that you have now. Your parents must be extremely proud of your success. Your mom once stated you got your balance early in life. You had it, you got it and I hope you never lose it. I wish only the best for you. Way to go Flying Tomato! (last time I promise!)
