My Letter To Drama
78
YO Drama! What's up with you and your annoying actions? How do you always seem to appear out of nowhere? Do I have "I Love Drama" written on my forehead? I doubt it, since I don't really like you. I gave up watching soap operas many years ago for a reason...I don't like drama. Ok, maybe a tidbit. I recently wrote a Letter To Stress and a friend suggested I also write you a letter. I thought that was a fantastic idea!
So, listen up and don't cause any drama while I speak my piece. There are two types of people, those who seek drama and those who shun it. I'm a shunner, not a seeker. I tend to avoid the drama spotlight, who needs it? I turn the corner and duck under desks to avoid you YET you still find me. How do you do that? Do you have a sixth sense? Do you think you know it all? I beg to differ. I think you just enjoy causing havoc and witnessing others in distress. Whatever, talk to the hand because the face ain't listening anymore!
Drama comes in all shapes, sizes and forms. You could appear as a person, place or thing. No matter how you appear, I still don't like you. There is absolutely nothing appealing about you. You cause emotional trauma. You cause mental exhaustion. You bring out the worst in people. There is nothing cheery about you. You don't fill a room with sunshine. You fill it with gloom and doom.
There are ways to avoid drama. We could eliminate drama from our lives by associating with optimistic people. These are the people that like themselves and appreciate others. These people are not lethal to our well-being. Accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative.
I'm not a fan of your adverse aura or viscious vibes. If you are sensing an attitude from me then you are correct. I do have a 'tude. I'm fed up with you!
So in a nutshell save the drama for yo mama because I don't want it! You are worthless and time consuming. You have nothing to offer society, but misery. If you should have any feedback to offer your many victims please do so in the comment section below. I'm sure there are many others who would like to hear what you have to say for yourself and your annoying antics. Until then I bid you a farewell. Don't let the door hit you in the you know where!

I love the dramatic music.
beautifully written love the music .. You write like IO think.. I hate drama too. I run fast when I see it coming.. LOL
Have a wonderful day sweet friend
Debbie
There is the third person, the one who attracts drama even if they don't seek it...lol...and that's you.
Oh, Sunshine, I am such a drama queen - but seldom or ever I will make a drama about nothing. I normally dramatize on behalf of many, making such a fuss about something that should be right and not wrong. I will drama-drama all the way up to the State President, and I will involve all - TV, newspapers, magazines, and what-have-you, creating a revolution... But then, at the end of the drama, I can calm down again, knowing I have done something important - like exposing a fraud and make sure it gets killed.
Believe me, the hurt and wounds of drama queens and kings are deep - we know many people don't like us and many don't have any mercy - they tear us apart with critic and such, even when they, too, reap at the end of the day the fruit of our dramatic and even radical actions.
Thank heavens I am semi-retired now. No longer involved in important community projects, such as developing schools for the art in a country like ours where goverment and its officials don't give a damn if all people live like monkeys or not. To build certain most important structures in a community, the world needs drama queens and kings, inter alia politicians.
And then, the flexible people like you are just as important. Although you hate drama, you are the shock-breakers, the buffers, able to comfort and calm the dramatists as well as all the little ones who have no clue what the drama is all about.
Linda, this hub of yours describe the frustration of the non-dramatist extremely well, touching, and I do believe drama Q + K must take this to heart. They must always concider and respect those who happens to be in the storm they cause.
The rule is - don't make a fuzz (drama) about nothing. If you want to exercice your talents in drama, then join a good course and dramatize for the right reasons - and never be a self-centred egoist .
Voted up - the true feelings of all who hate drama.
BTW - I really hate it too. Why is it so often necessary to create drama? If everybody could only see and understand and cooperate life would be without any dramas.
Great hub, Sunshine. I love drama if it's in a movie or in music. In real life I do fine without drama. :)
I love drama. I enjoyed reading your reflections.
Great hub Sunshine, I don't go looking for drama but sometimes it finds me anyway! I wish I could make myself invisible when it comes calling....alas I can't! Good job I can laugh off most of it.
I deplore drama as well unless it's fictionalized but I can't watch Soaps either. Anyway, I agree that life is too short to be ruled by Debbie Downers and Donald Dramatics. Great hub!
It seems to seek me out. But I do have a dramatic personality, so I think it comes naturally to me when bad events happen, that is how I will react. But I don't think I look for it when things are going well. I think the reaction is cathartic to me that I get it all out in talking or writing and then I can get on with my day. I find that going speed walking helps me burn off all that energy. alas, it is snowing, so the weather is all wrong. dancing, maybe?
Amen Sunshine! You need to keep cranking out these funny and true letters. I like to keep my drama in my favorite reality shows and leave the real life drama alone. Thanks for writing this, voting waaay up :)
If there were no drama there would be no newscasts, even fewer newspapers than now exist, no dramatic films, plays and operas, no Reality Housewives of Anywhere. We all feed on drama, Linda, even if we don't seek it.
And what would an action film or dramatic television show be without dramatic music in the background? It heightens all the other aspects of movies and TV.
Enjoyed this letter to a subject that probably receives little mail. :)
I hate drama (wait, "dislike")! I like your style in this piece. Your writing is so free and assertive. I should read you more! Voting up!
Thanks for SHARING!
JSMatthew~
Right on, Sister!! You tell it!!! I would rather be a peacemaker than a trouble maker! A Great Hub/Letter!
Voted up and across and shared!! Thanks for SHARING!! :-)
lol You go Linda! I am a shunner too...I do not like Drama...I loved this and I hope Drama got the message loud and clear..
Love it!
Sunnie
There is this small part of me that still likes it--otherwise, I don't think I would like gossip--but living it is exhausting--so I guess when things weigh themselves out, I am better without it--great hub!
This hub really made me laugh. The music was dramatic too.
I banished drama from my realm many moons ago along with it's cousin stress. Glad you 'wrote them off' too!
Well written and creative. SHARING
Very strong words, Sunshine. Let the light shine through. Blessings, Debby
Unless it's Shakespeare, I want nothing to do with drama.
Oh, Wow! No empathy girl, your funny. Don't come near me.
You would hate me, my life hasn't been La-De-Da. Good drama, bad drama but lots of Drama!
DON'T EVEN READ MY PROFILE. I still will vote up, for you because you put your true feelings out there, this is what writings is about for many, but looks like we won't be friends.
Kay
Too much drama,
What a trauma,
Betta drinka
Bahama Mamma...
I will not even compete with that music... W A Y cool!
Voted UP & every single thang! Hugs, mar.
Awesome, Sunshine. I hate drama, too, but it seems to be all around us. Sometimes there is real drama, but what I really hate is drummed up drama! Excellent hub. All the votes possible!
Drama is ANNOYING. But I agree- there are people who seek it and people who shun it. If you really seek it, you deserve the consequences that it brings. Great writing!
have to say couldnt of said it better myself..in my personal life Drama usually shows itself in a black could form. No I am not talking paranormal of course, i mean figurtivly.
Great way to tell "Drama" off!!! clever!!! Voted up!
Great hub my friend, as you know I am not a fan of drama, ive been having a bit of baby mama drama, and that's probably the worse. That's why I haven't been on here for a while hopefully it'll get better soon. Bring on the sunshine!! I could really use it these days:( Congrats on finishing the 30/30!! :) ge
Amen Sista!!! Save the drama for your mama. I actually cause drama by refusing to be drawn into it. Some people get frustrated with that. :) Great hub!!!
Here, here! I'm all for booting drama out the door!
Great hub, very nicely put ;)
Awesome hub Sunshine, I too hate drama and unfortunately as you said, it always seems to find a way to create havoc!
This was worth another visit and for more SOCIAL SHARING.
We certainly can do with out the drama.
What might have prompted this? Mmmmm, let's see. Seriously though, I'm with you on this. Life is difficult enough without needless drama. It may not be easy but sometimes you just have to say goodbye to the drama queens (and kings) and move on. Thanks for saying what we are all thinking, Linda! Great job.
Thought I would give this one a revisit!
save your drama for the television?
Sunshine625,
This was awesome, and when I see drama coming I like to jump in bed and cover my head.
Unless, I have to start it--and I will if children, animals and people are being abused in my area--then it is Drama in the First Degree.
I do like a calm life---but I will not back down from fighting for what is right.
You have such good common sense, like my sister Paula, and I am afraid I live in a different orbit. My heart tells me what to do---when I should listen to my head, sometime, anyway.
