Dear Julia Fiona Roberts: I bet you never expected a letter from Sunshine! Ok, maybe you did. Well I only have good things to say to you my dear. Don't fret, I'm not going to mention the fact that you were referred to as a Runaway Bride, oooops I just did. Let's move past that since we all live and learn. If you didn't run away then how else could you have met the man of your dreams and the father of your three adorable children. Cameraman Daniel Moder seems to be the man for you. Your children Hazel, Phinnaeus (Finn) and Henry have parents who love and adore them. You have a happy family which makes your fans happy for you!
Your role as Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman received ravishing reviews! Who would have thought that a movie about a hooker would be such a success? You worked it girl, bravo to you! In Steel Magnolia's you made our hearts so sad. Not many actors could pull off a deathly ill role like you can! One of my favorite flicks of yours is Sleeping With The Enemy! Oh, how I wanted to help you kick his butt! You had me on the edge of my seat and hoping you were going to take your husband down! You go girl! Abuse whether emotional or physical should never, ever be tolerated.
You took on a huge responsibility in Stepmom. You made me tear up many times while watching that movie, heck i'm getting emotional just thinking about it! You and Susan Sarandon were magnificent as the bickering mom and soon to be stepmom! Thumbs up! In My Best Friend's Wedding you were obviously the better choice over Cameron Diaz's character but it wasn't meant to be. Oh well life goes on and you met Danny!! Sweet!!
Psssst...Thank you for turning down the role of Lucy in While You Were Sleeping! Sandra Bullock really rocked that role...I'm sure you would have rocked it also. We'll just move on now. Your role of Erin Brockovich was outstanding without a doubt! You took on that energy company and brought them to their knees! Maybe you should consider running for a political office? Hmmm. I gave you something to think about, didn't I?
You truly are a Georgia peach! I don't say that just because you were born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 28, 1967. I realize you are aware of your birthdate BUT how amazing is it that Coretta Scott King the wife of Martin Luther King paid your parents medical bill for your delivery! Not too many people are able to say that, are they? The King's children took acting lessons at the school that your parents owned and as an act of gratitude the King's flipped the bill. Hopefully you've reimbursed them since you are worth over $150 million.
You are not only Hollywood's highest paid actress you are one of the most admired. I am sure glad you followed in your brother's footsteps and went into acting. Your smile can turn anyone's frown upside down unless of course it's a tear jerker scene! I'm also glad you and your brother Eric reconciled after many years adrift due to family reasons. Hey, you were looking out for the best interests of your niece. I would have sided with her also. It's your personal family matter, I won't bring it up. Ooops, I did it again didn't I?
Being named one of People's Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People In The World eleven times and to be tied with Halle Berry is quite an accomplishment my friend. Would you ever have imagined this would be your life today as you were attending public schools in Smyrna, GA? Probably not. I'm sorry that you lost your father to cancer at the young age of ten. I understand how you wanted to alter your appearance during this difficult time by ditching your glasses and getting contact lens! Losing someone you love at any age is very difficult. Yet you found the strength to perservere and you moved forward. It's not like you had much of a choice.
I commend you on your motion picture success. Your film achievements will live on for generations to enjoy! You gave your fans much Satisfaction! I say we all celebrate with a slice of Mystic Pizza! I'm looking forward to your new movie coming out Mirror, Mirror. I'm sure you will be an excellent evil queen! Kudos to you Julia Roberts for being the down to earth, awesome person you are! P.S. Sunshine - I do love Julia Roberts - when I was much younger people would always so I looked like her! I didn't see it but I had my hair cut short when she did and there was a picture of her on the tv guide - Laurel picked it up and said, "mommy why are you in this picture?" LOL too funny!

Hey sunshine, Its funny because I just watched Pretty Woman yesterday, and my all time fav is Steel Magnolias, I could quote that whole script as many times as I've seen it. My two favorite roles of hers have to be Stepmom and Pretty Woman. I'm interested in her as an ice queen because she's so nice most of the time in her roles and Charlize Theron will be playing the other ice queen in the other Snow White. Voted up and interesting Sunshine!
Nothing this woman has ever done have I been dissappointed with. She has excelled and she truly is a beautiful person inside and out. Now I don't read tabloids much, but from what I understand, she really hasn't graced the pages like other actor's getting the negative feedback. Great hub, very informative. Julia Roberts, while not my favorite, is definately on the top of the list. She is great in every role she plays! :)

While I have enjoyed Julia Roberts Movies I have to wonder what charities she contributes ot with her 20 million dollar pay check for each film whihc takes her approximately 3 months ot film?
I am more interested in Julia Roberts philnatrophic contributions to society. Because it is not what you take in life but what you give and I am wondering what Julia gives besides performances? You also didn't mention Charlie Wilson's War.

Very nicely done Sunshine625...my wife is a huge Julia Roberts fan, so I have seen almost all of her movies. I would say my favorites would be Notting Hill and Flatliners. Lots of interesting information that you have included in her letter.....job well done.
Julia Roberts is one of my favorite actresses, Sunshine. Thank you for creating this letter and the many informative tidbits you inc;uded about her life and films. "Pretty Woman" was a classic as was "Erin Brockovich." Julia was the perfect choice for both those films.
