My Letter to Brantley Gilbert - Country Music Artist
73
Hiya Brantley! Most people reading this letter might be wondering, "who the heck is Brantley Gilbert?" Well I'm here to introduce you to them. I highly suggest to my readers who haven't heard your music to give one of your videos posted below a listen. Hopefully they will post a comment and let you know what they think of your music. That way when you stop by to read this letter you can meet some new fans! I consider you an outstanding, outlaw musician who has earned a well deserved shout-out from Sunshine! It's all good Brantley, don't be shy! Then again alpha males are not normally shy, are they? You exude confidence in a way only BG can do it!
First off a congratulations is in order for you! Kudos to having your hit Country Must Be Country Wide reach number one on the country music charts! I can only imagine your excitement when you received the news. Your first ever number one means you are going places and you are finally going to achieve the recognition that you well deserve. I've been a fan of that song for awhile and I'm a proud fan and extremely happy for you!
You almost didn't have a career. I'm sure you remember when you crashed your truck at the age of 19 and you were thrown from the back window, luckily you survived. Even though the truck flipped several times you are alive today and we are thankful...as I'm sure you and your family are! You made a smart move by placing those partying days behind you...well at least no drinking and driving. Or texting. Or songwriting!
How does it feel to be compared to John Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen? That's real cool for a 26 year old from Jefferson, Georgia who's only been in the business for six years! What I enjoy about your music is that it's not your everyday country tunes. I like the rock and roll edginess that you've incorporated into your music. You are unique and a nice addition to the country music genre.
I first heard about you when you achieved star status as a songwriter. You penned songs that have been made famous by Colt Ford and Jason Aldean. Dirt Road Anthem is a classic, it will always remain a favorite of mine! Both you and Colt co-wrote it and Colt performed it. Shortly thereafter Jason Aldean sang and performed it and the rest is history! That song really got around! No pun intended. Jason Aldean also sang My Kinda Party which you wrote much to my delight! Total awesomeness!
Sorry about the trouble you were having with your record labels. It was wrong of your first label to drop you before your CD Modern Day Prodigal Son was released back in 2006. Oh well, it's their loss! I bet you are laughing in their face now! Average Joe's Entertainment Group didn't work out for you either. That's okay everything happens for a reason...which brings us to Big Machine Records and Valory Music Group! They knew what they were doing when they signed you! Heck, look at Taylor Swift, her career is doing kinda good (insert humor)! She's a country pop sensation, but T-Swizzle is another story.
Here you are with two albums and a number one single! By the way I bet you had a lot to be thankful for on Thanksgiving 2011 since that's the week your song became number one. I have a strong suspicion that you are grateful year-round. You've mentioned your strong family ties and how when you are away from home you missed your family in Georgia. Your family must be very proud of your success. Keep on singin' your country rock sensations and I'll keep jammin' along with you! I hope that by Sunshine pimping you out, you gain more fans and your audience becomes large enough to fill a stadium! I hope to see you in concert soon. Rock on...in a country sorta way!

I had never heard of Brantley Gilbert until now. Thank you for sharing him with us. He is quite a good looking guy, isn't he? His music is pretty good, too. Voted up and awesome!
I hadn't heard of Brantley Gilbert either so thank you for the introduction Sunshine.
His music sounds good, but I couldn't listen to Dirt Road Anthem (not available in my country) which was a shame, I would have liked to have heard that one too.
It is so good to hear that he is doing so well after that near fatal accident.
Thank you for sharing

Sunshine, Oh Sunshine....Queen of C & W Artists & tunes
You're right, I don't know him and never heard his #1 song. But thanks to you, I do now....and looks like a few other hubbers too. Did I ever tell you that besides all your favorites you have written about and I also like.....one of my very favorites is "Collin Raye?". Do you like him?...he does a song, "In This Life," that never fails to reduce me to a sniffling sobbing limp noodle...................
Sunshine625, I voted up and awesome
Thanks for introducing him, because I had never heard of him, before---but his music is nice.
I love anything Country---can you believe that I never listen to Country music until about ten years ago. I believe it is much better now, because now there is a story in each song. Before, it was mainly who did somebody wrong song----boring!
But I am there now, with you Sunshine625,
Your Hub Friend,
Bobbi
Hi, he is sure to love your tribute, he is cute too! lol! I love country music and he sounds really good, I love finding out about new talent, good luck to him, I really enjoyed his music, cheers nell
Well Sunshine - you have sure educated me. I knew nothing about this fellow but once again your letter has inspired me to check this hotty out! You do a fab job of pulling out the interesting details and sharing them - I really love that and it keeps me glued to the very end!
You know you are right I haven't heard too much about this guy, but it sounds like he has a promising career coming up. Voted up & awesome!! Great job Sunshine!! :) ge
Not a big country fan, but he might turn me into one...yum!
A nice letter to Brantly Gilbert who I must confuse I was not even aware of before this hub. But your hub offers lots on information on its subjects...so not only did I learn about who Brantly is ....I got to sample some of his music as well. The great thing about HubPages are hubs like this one that are educational and interesting...job well done.
Hello Brantley, nice to meet someone new :) What a rich voice he has, I enjoyed listening to the songs and reading more about his through your letter.

Hello Brantley Gilbert! Nice to meet you. I love country music... mostly because my mom, Sunshine, makes sure that I listen to ALL of her favorite songs! Congrats on your recent #1 hit! I'm sure I'll be hearing your name more often. :)
