Happy (or not) Valentine's Day!
The color is red
which accentuates the heart
beating as if one.
The question is asked
Will you be my Valentine?
Now and forever.
Kisses are sweet
Lift her right off of her feet
they are a real treat!
Chocolate is yum
Can you please deliver some?
or else be a bum!!
Love is like fine wine
the knot is made of coarsed twine
drink well and be fine.
Will you marry me?
We wonder what she will say
Maybe, go away!?
Can you give a hug
to a male who likes to bug
while wearing a mug?
I dreamt I loved you,
Realized it was a bad dream
you are a nightmare!
Cupid you are not!

Very nicely done...hard to believe we are only days away from another Valentine's Day. My wife is not much of a chocolate eater...but she loves her some carnations...trying to figure out how many to get her this year. Voted up.

One year I actually attended a wedding on Valentine's day. But usually for me it is just another day of the year. I've always been a big fan of chocolate too.
Too often with Valentine's on the 14th, and my B-day on the 16th, they are celebrated together. But I know that he loves me anyway. And i love the chocolate!

I have to really think about this one. I turned on the computer this morning and a certain someone didn't sign out of his Craiglist chat room. He was asking his friends in the fitness room how he could trick his fat girlfriend into loosing weight because she was too lazy to realize she needs to do it for herself. Someone is going to be in the dog house this Valentine's Day. Cute hub!

Linda, I don't know how I missed this one but I did. Definitely a different take on Valentine's Day but a most entertaining one. I haven't decided if I really enjoy haiku because I always finding myself counting syllables and not focusing on the meaning. Must be the analytical (or anal) side of me. Still, I got a few chuckles from your wonder haiku so it was worth it. Thanks for sharing!
